Nicola Fuchs-Schündeln is Professor of Macroeconomics and Development at Goethe University Frankfurt. Prior to joining Goethe in 2009 she was an Assistant Professor at Harvard University. She received her PhD in economics from Yale University in 2004.
She is Programme Director of the Macroeconomics and Growth programme at CEPR, chairwoman of the Review of Economic Studies, and elected fellow of the Econometric Society. She is a member of the German National Academy of Sciences Leopoldina, the Scientific Advisory Board of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action and of the Franco-German Council of Economic Experts. She holds many affiliations in international research networks.
