Frank Vandenbroucke studied economics in Leuven and Cambridge, UK, and received his D.Phil. in Oxford in 1999. He is Vice-Prime Minister and Minister of Social Affairs and Public Health in the Belgian government. He was affiliated to the universities of Leuven, Antwerp and Amsterdam. His research focuses on the social dimension of European integration.
